Read Across America!

UNLESS someone like you
cares a whole awful lot,
nothing is going to get better.
It's not.
Dr. Seuss

We heard the Lorax's warning and we've taken it to heart! Read Across America and Dr. Seuss's birthday made March 2 a huge day of reading at Parish. Ms. Demarest read The Lorax in the library to a captivated full house of kindergarten, first, and second graders. Dr. Seuss's illustrations were easily seen on the SMART Board, so not a detail went unnoticed by the listeners. Excitement about the movie opening increased by bounds after listening to the story! Happy birthday to someone who reminded us that "You're never too old, too wacky, too wild, to pick up a book and read with a child."
